Very cold here this morning, fish fed & hubby dropped at work, cottage pie as his packup today. DD1 visited for the day yesterday with the DFGC, DD2 visited for the afternoon with the DGC, we were going to take them to the park but they played tag so well in the garden & then settled down with some comics & sweeties (thank you M) that we gave the muddy park a miss & had a great day at home.
Also, much to my amazement the ex paid me for looking after the DGC when DD worked for him last week. I did jokingly tell her I expected to be paid, but didn't seriously expect it.
I started this post ages ago, but was interrupted by a phone call, my nephew's daughter is in hospital, she has leukemia, poor little scap is only 2 and a half.
    have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

I thought it was Saturday, i wondered why the programmes on the radio were different.

Sorry to hear about how ill the little one is.

I always think its harder when a child is so ill.
When its a adult, It just seems more right ?

With Kids it really dose seem so Unjust

Maybe not the right words ?

I hope it all works out for her and she does not suffer to much.

Its always hard to hear or she a sick child.

    Nothing worse.

It is DH's birthday today and I have the outlaws coming this afternoon so a good clean of the house has begun.

I was at the hospital yesterday and basically even though I really need the knee replacements, I am deemed at too high a risk for operating on. He was not happy that I hadn't been referred to have my hiatus hernia done, because it is such a major operation I will be out for hours and there is a real risk of aspiration with a hiatus hernia :(

It has brightened up so even though it is chilly there is a breeze so I am off to put some washing out

HH best wishes to your nephews daughter , what an awful thing I do hope she is in remission soon x

Very grey here, next door have had a fire in the garden for the last 3 days , he's a builder and I think he probably doesn't have any work so he is clearing the garden , it means I can't open my windows or put any washing out

Downstairs is clean now , I tidied , dusted and hoovered , cleaned the kitchen . 2 loads of washing are hung around the house

Need to buy a new scrubbing brush to clean the skirting boards and a new bucket , DH has put cement in mine

Have a good day all xx

bb. Happy birthday to DH x

    Morning (just) all.

Loads planned for today but so far have only done a long spell of marriage guidance. I cannot imagine why anyone should think I'm an authority on grieving widows or newly weds who've their first row and decided that their marriage is over. Perhaps it's the grey hairs.
    No cooking - we're fasting.

Better get on with the day's work.

  • Afternoon everyone,

Bitterly cold this morning, it even threatened to snow when I was getting the bus! Taplady I find my hands go red raw after a while. I can cope with the feet but haven't found anything for my hands yet :o

Monnogran Hopefully we'll be coming back June time, just before the summer hoards arrive! Will be our fifth time over together :D

OH is off again today (thanks for your wishes RR, which means he shouldn't be doing on call tonight - his boss hasn't as yet asked anyone else to do it though! Will have to wait and see if he gets any phone calls tonight.....

Not sure what's for tea tonight, will just have a dive in the fridge/freezer and see what's available, there should be plenty in :)

Hugs to all who need/want - especially Hester
