You might think so. But my feeling is that this is a data systems issue within NW. I suspect that once you are on NW's system as a recent BR, a 'recent BR' flag stays set and is never re-evaluated according to the passage of time - in other words, they probably don't record the date of the BR and have no regard for the passage of time and the conduct of accounts.

I suspect you do not have the same critical flag set on your details as farside has

    Your just speculating.
I suspect there is a credit file issue.

I was with NW from the day after declaring BR.

Really? Then the account you are getting will only be a cashcard account, Not a debitcard account. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Everyone i've talked to about this too has been the same.

Although there's not a lot of difference between the two, you can still use the cashcard like a debitcard to buy things, You just can't use it abroad.

I had a cashcard account until yesterday. I applied for a full account yesterday and was accepted automatically. this is my point.

There's nothing wrong with my files, I have spent the past 7.7 years sorting them out, I'm an expert with that now. It's not like this happened yesterday lol

Take a look at Nottingham building society's application form.
    In particular the bankrupt question.
