  • we are in Norwich too. for a while Flybe was based here, but not so many flights anymore. We've been on a few early morning Ryanair flights now, it's usually only a 5/10 min que to drop bags off. And the only time that you can make Norwich to Stanstead in an hour flat, no traffic on ye olde a11!

Well we will be going from my parents in Dereham so we are going to do the "back roads" and join up in Mildenhall.

On the way back the A11 will be closed so we have to avoid it!

It depends what time you have to travel.

Most of the info is on there.
Just a bit of a diversion really.

you must be closer than me, I am only 2 miles from city centre but on east side, its just over 90 miles to the car park, i cant do that in an hour at anytime. 1 hour 15 is about average

I havent checked the road closure but assume its the bit they are working on between barton mills and thetford, if so stay on the A14 to Bury and then back uo to Thetford it only adds on about 10/15 minutes

Yes we are getting the 6am flight. Planning on getting to the airport parking about 4am ish. Was it really busy in the terminal for bag drop and security?

We have been to Krakow once before and we are really looking forward to going back there.

I don't think it will be as warm as when we went last May ;)

We didn't put any bags under the plane. We just took a small case onboard and purchased anything we couldn't put in the hand luggage once through security.

Security was empty. Arrived at the terminal. Straight through security, had a ridiculously expensive Wetherspoons breakfast and then jumped on our plane. For some reason, our plane took off early and arrived even earlier than predicted at Krakow. Not bad for a flight that cost less than £12. :p

I can't confirm, nor deny that in order to get there in an hour my other half had the pedal to the floor, and a fluke lack of vans, along with a green light in Elveden! We are literally straight onto the A47 though.
1 hr 10 is more usual early mornings.

I have just been looking at the long range forecast for Krakow and I know they are normally wrong but I am hoping they have got this right!

  • Hi, we are staying in an apartment in the old town. It's a flying visit so we arrive lunchtime, bit of a look round and dinner. Then we plan to do the free tour the next morning, and go back anywhere we think looked really interesting. We leave the next afternoon, so we may have time to fir in the museum you mentioned that day. I'm planning to be drinking lots of hot wine to keep warm! Hoping to try some local food, if they have many vegetarian dishes!
