System is over pressurised, at 2 bar the expansion will not take the additional pressure as the water heats and the system will lock out on high pressure, could also cause other problems such as blowing safety valves which will possibly then leak!
You need to reduce the pressure to1 bar, bleed some water off from a radiator to do this whilst checking the pressure at the boiler gauge!

Its winter folks, get the system going, then argiue the toss over registration?

Will try to bleed some water off tomorrow morning and hope this works. Will let you know as soon as.

    Thanks
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay
  • Well bled off some water and got the gauge down to 1. Also checked the tremp control box and changed the batteries - just in case. Reset the boiler but same thing happened, switched everything off, sarted again, went through the set up (green, amber, red) calling for heat on the control, turned the reset button to on, got green flashing light, then it went to solid red. So no luck, unfortutunately.

Got someone coming tomorrow, and guess what = forgot to ask if they have a call out charge.

  • Engineer couldn't manage, so will have to wait until he has a slot available 1st appt in the morning, which could be Thursday !!!

    Any advice ?

Meanwhile I could have registered the boiler a week ago now, should I do it now and not wait for the engineer? or wait and see what he says.

At a bit of a loss, as you can tell.
