Garage didn't do the mot

Although there may be plenty of reasons, VOSA take a pretty dim view of tests being delayed like this without good reason. In order to be a testing station pre-booked MOT apointments should take priority over other work, so if there's something else in the way the test gets done first. Obviously, sometimes unavoidable things happen but "was too busy with other stuff" wouldn't normally be an acceptable reason. "Forgot to" certainly isn't!
There isn't a whole lot you can do about it - you could report the matter to VOSA if you think they might be getting it wrong on a regular basis, but if you have a long-standing relationship with them is it really worth antagonising them? Better to have a word with the manager when he's available and just ask what happened - if he's a decent manager he'll be happy to be made aware that things might be slipping when he's not around!0 -
Hi car passed it's mot they done this morning. They knocked off £5.00 and I didn't even have to ask. So happy all round. Thanks for the advice and comments.0

mot are low profit they probably didn;'t bother and worked on something else. Undferstandable really.. if you help facilitate the mot it can be a one man job, but if you drop the car off then it becomes a two man job. It's just not worth it for a garage to do - to be honest. Maybe they decided that if they had free time they'll do the MOT if not they won't bother.0
