    This sometimes works.

    I generally get a quote from each of the "big three" comparison sites, then go through the ones quoted as being within a little bit of the cheapest, and see if I can get a close match through their sites direct, logging through TCB.

    If that doesn't work (and it usually does), I just suck it up and either claim the fiver's worth of Nectar points through Confused (the results through these systems are usually identical these days) or push the Confused/Meerkat etc claim through TCB direct with the insurer. This latter approach has worked in the past, and usually does track, but just beware that it may not pay out. It seems to be 50/50 as to whether it works, so I take the chance as I have little to lose.
