Ok just a query really if anyone knows.
I am currently with o2 for my BB (ADSL2+) and BT for my home line.
I am considering changing to fibre bb in the enxt couple of days to Plusnet and taking my phoneline with me to Plusnet also as the install is free for the fibre if i have both with them.
Now the question is will i need a MAC code from o2 to change to Plusnet as it is changing from ADSL to fibre?
And do i need to contact o2/BT to let them know i am leaving?
Cheers for any help x

Yup you'll need a MAC from O2, give it to Plusnet with your order.
The service you'll get is rebadged BT Infinity, still comes down the same copper pair into your house. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Just make sure that you phone O2 on the date that your b/band switches over, to make sure that your contract is terminated -even when/if Plusnet use the MAC ,you are dependent on BT Wholesale informing O2 that you have moved ISP, this does not always happen!!You will still have to pay a notice period to O2 as well.0

And remember to sign up via Quidco (currently £38 cashback on a bb and calls sign up).No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for all the help i'll give o2 a bell tomorrow and ask for my MAC i am currently out of contract with them (have been for over 3 years) so it will be just the case of paying up till i switch over i guess?
Plusnet contact BT when changing line then i have nothing to do there or will i need to contact them aswell?
My phone bill has just come in and i pay quarterly so they are going to owe me money it's 3 month line rental in advance.
And thanks for the Quidco advice

You're not out of contract, you are merely out of minimum term. BT require 14 days notice to be given for a switch, 28 days for a cease. No free lunch, and no free laptop
