I wish my local Library was as quiet as this part of MSE

I certainly remember going to story-time etc when I was a pre-schooler and doubt we were completely silent. Don't be such a miserable old sod and be glad your library is still open and available for *all* sections of the community to use.
Language please Barbara.
I expect then, if you have, you have seen a huge decline in discipline and order within Library premises over that period of time, unless you have had your blinkers on.0 -
I am a miserable old git too - it drives me mad when I am trying to work at the library and a mums and babies music session starts up. Most of the kids are crying - the mums sing/shake instruments even louder to cover up the noise of the crying.
To me - a library should be a place of peace and quiet.
Mums and babies sessions should be in a community centre/ village hall etc.
I only ever took my kids to a library to read/borrow books and told them that it is a place to be quiet and sensible - not a playground.0
