    I'm sorry, but you clearly have misunderstood what they told you. You cannot do an 'instant switch' of gas or electricity, it takes a minimum of 3 weeks. Until the date of switch, which will be advised to you by BG in about 14-21 days, you will continue to be supplied by and billed by Eon.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
