From the day of the ticket you have 14 days to pay at the reduced rate.

After 14 days you will be sent your first follow-up letter saying the reduced payment offer has finished. They then give you 28 days to make a payment.

After 28 days you'll get a final demand from UKPC.

the whole process, including Debt Recovery Plus and Zenith Collections, lasts about 6 months.

    Thank You :)

OK! So if they 'say' they put the 'Fake ticket' on your car at the start of the month and then they send a 'Notice To Keeper' 63 days after this, how does this stand? Can they wait this long??

    Cheers :)

Nope that's not compliant - hence why we tell people to wait for the Notice to keeper in order to give more ammo against the PPC.

That's a point - missed it in the title now we are on page 2!

So the OP can easily just ignore it all anyway; just keep it all in a file marked 'scam'. :D

However, that gap in between letters may still be non-compliant with the BPA Code of Practice generally (can't check it, I am at work!) and I am sure there are other non-compliant issues with the wording and signage. Flixxchick, you could complain to the NI 'DVLA equivalent' body for releasing your data without reasonable cause because the AOS member in question isn't following the required industry Code of Practice. Could complain to NI Trading Standards about this sharp practice too, and to the client whose car park it is. Anything to damage the reputation further, of PPC scammers.

Thanks Coupon-mad, nigelbb and tospig for your comments and advice!

Certainly somethings to think about. I've only had one letter (the standard, you now owe us £90 bull****) and that was at the beginning of Feb 2013. So I'll hang on in there and see what happens.

    Cheers :)

These are just the usual DRP/Zenith letters:. No biggie.

Like pretty much every tenth post on this forum (and more commonly on pepipoo) you have got one of the computerised standard letters that everyone gets...yawn!

I've looked this up and see it's in Belfast so just ignore it and the letters that follow (see links to threads about the debt collector letters, in my reply above).

BTW we don't need an update to bump this old thread every time you get a letter, we know about them. They won't be trying a court claim in Belfast. :)
