Why does it take some companies so long to send prizes?

  • I received a WEM on 7th March and am still waiting for part of the prize. It was a meet & greet, which was cancelled the day before the event and signed merchandise I would have received on the night.
I have been promised the signed pieces will be sent, but who knows?
To err is human, but to really mess things up you need a computer.
  • i won something in the december advents, it was quite early on i won it too (3rd) they said they would send it ASAP

apparently it got lost and they had to send another, only got it last week lol, good job i wasnt using it as a christmas present

its awful when you're excited for a prize and the wait 28 working day thing is killing lol, i won a curl up kit from now magazine and every day im like WHERES MY PRIZE!!! :rotfl:
  • If there's more than one winner they sometimes wait until they have everyone's delivery details before starting to send the prizes out.

I'm still waiting for my biggest win yet to arrive - won at the very start of February so nothing to worry about yet but I am impatient because I want to see it! :D

I also had to wait over a month for a George Foreman I won in the advents - chased it up at the end of January, the person in charge of the comp had no idea it hadn't been sent out - it had gone out of stock and they'd forgotten about me! I ended up with a nicer grill than the one I originally won so I was doubly pleased in the end! :rotfl:

Chance to use my new for this year's spreadsheet! :nerd:

Average time between comp end and notification (18 comps) = 5.78 days
Average time between notification and arrival (16 comps) = 9.81 days
Average time between comp end and unexpected arrival (6 comps) = 16.33 days
Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

  • I've had prizes turn up the next day from being told about it (this doesn't happen often!) and others that seem to take a few months :( Most are somewhere in between. I'm still waiting for a Dec win but the person I won from has been keeping in touch so I'm hopeful it will arrive eventually! I like to send a polite e-mail after a few weeks when waiting for a prize & then every week or so, just to make sure I haven't been forgotten about!
