No Contract Instant Setup Broadband

Hi,

Does anyone know of a company offering the above?

I'm moving into a new build house and Virgin media has not had the cable brought up to the house yet so i won't be able to use their broadband for what seems like ages. I don't want to sign up for a full year with BT as their speeds (no Infinity) are so low compared to Virgin.

Is there a company (if i own my own router) that will allow me to have a broadband connection on a per day/month basis? (that obviously won't make me wait 21 days for the kit to be delivered)

EDIT:
Also, i know about mobile broadband but the signal in the area is not good enough to use this method.

thanks

The lead time is not dictated by how long it takes to deliver a router, its the time taken to provision a new line and then then ADSL broadband service on top on that line. So having your own router is going to make it any quicker.

Do you have an existing BT landline in place?Taking a business contract is the only way of speeding up the line provision a bit. BT OR wil be doing the actual work regardless of which provider you use.
There are plenty of ISP's offering monthly broadband contracts, but it will cost you a bit more. Most line rental contracts are however 12m minimum term, the PO is an exception.
Daily? No. How could any provider make commercial sense of a one day contract?
NB: there is always be a contract, regardless of minimum term.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Set up costs are quite high, you'll either pay for a long minimum term (as per the norm) or pay a high setup fee.

Have a look at Aquiss.net - they do a one month rolling contract, and I can vouch for their excellent customer service. They aren't the cheapest around, admittedly, but Martin and Florence are very, very good at what they do. How often do you remember the names of the support people that you talk to once in a blue moon?
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
