Morning everyone,
Julie Happy birthday, 46 is still young!
Halight Any news from the job hunting?
Judi How are you?
Molly and Rosy hugs for you.
Up early again to perform my job as house alarm clock!
DD1 had a friend staying over last night and she needs to be in town at 11 and you know how long teenage girls take to get ready!
I am having a pedicure this pm. I bought a "treatment card" from a spa place that was starting up and you got £140 worth of treatments for £40. It lasts till July so I am going about once every 3 weeks to eke out the treatments. Not sure that I fancy the underarm wax though.:D
DS really enjoyed his driving lesson yesterday, I need to insure my car for him so he can practice.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

Morning all, brilliant day yesterday but I had forgotten how exhausting London is!!! Was a bit early so popped into a bookshop before meeting friend......me and bookshops is a dangerous mix, but emerged with onlt 2 (buy 1 get 1 half price). justified it by having finished all my library books and can't get to library until next week.
today need to pick up new glasses (dropped and trod on last pair) and then go to visit son for a trip out and then a friend coming for dinner. to be honest I thought it was next week, but it doesn't matter I am always glad to see her and if I buy onions I can make her favourite vegetable curry as I have all the other stuff in. Also have stuff in for plum and apple crumble for pudding although she usually brings pudding.
julie HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
taplady what do you do at your art group?

Morning all,
happy birthday Julie, i hope you have a lovely birthday despite having to work.
I am fine, son has been staying with a friend up North (or down South depending on where in the country you live). Its been so quiet without him. He's a quiet lad anyway but its strange not to hear the tip tapping of his keyboard in the other room or the texts coming through on his phone on an evening. Whilst he has gone ive stripped his bed, washed the duvet, the curtains and pulled out his bed to vacuum underneath. Ive even vacuumed his mattress too. He'll be back later on this evening when 'Daddy' fetches him. He was coming back on the train but it looks like thats gone pearshaped.
Havent heard from my youngest daughter for a day or two. I trust she is well and i had a message yesterday from my eldest daughter in South Africa. News has come in that they will be needed to foster a newborn baby girl thats just been abandoned in a car park. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Jobs for today:
Change the bed linen on our bed
Laundry (no doubt son will bring me back loads)
Kitchen floor
Vacuum downstairs
Tea ~Something that doesnt include mash

Good morning all,
Happy birthday Julie :bdaycake: hope you have a lovely day.
It is bitterly cold here today. It has been snowing on and off but not enough to lay.
All of the housework has been done. Wm is on again, should be enough room on the airer. Need to get some baking done as the tin is empty.
I will probably take the dog out for a walk in a little while. Fresh air will do me good.
Tea tonight is gammon with potatoes and salad.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Hi all,
Happy Birthday Juilie - hope you have a fab day x
Woke up about 4 this morning, had a dentist appointment booked for 9.30, to say I don,t like going is an understatement as was getting a bit panicky, have been and although numb on one side of face, it wasn,t anywhere near as bad as i,d thought - what a wuss...
Stripping beds today, booking an appointment to re- fix mortgage, should save us about £150 a month:D, need to check if we overpay that it will come off the capital though.
Kittens are due a check up, at least thats free, got a deal when I had them 'done'. Going to be fun getting them into cat boxes, they are the size of baby elephants now:eek:
Doing some more baking, made a huge coffee and walnut cake and 2 ginger cakes on Monday, they,ve been scoffed, will bake some scones and some small bakewell tarts so I can give a couple to elderly neighbors as well as some more ginger cakes as they were lush..
Have a fab day all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hoppy Birdday Julie.
Mary went home yesterday afternoon; the bungalow now seems hollow and empty without the little lass.:(
The newspaper "carpet" has been taken up, and I'm now trying to catch up with the tasks that got either left or only cursorily done, as Mary requires a large investment of time and energy.
If anyone's interested, here's Mary.
