Dialtosave Cahback Reminders
I just purchased a new phone and came across the dialtosave website who are offering free cashback reminders by email. You do not even have to buy from them! This is very handy service to reduce the chance of forgetting to claim cashback however I cannot get it to work. It doesn't let me register! If any can help it would be much appreciated and you will save me lots of money, as I am likely to forget to claim my cashback!

Alternatively, are there any other similar services out there?

Google calendar is pretty good. Can have reminders sent to your phone via text (and yes, its free)
Or you could use the 'tart alert' function of this site. Its meant to be a reminder for when introductory rates on credit cards changed but it can be used for anything0 -
Thanks, but has anyone worked out what's wrong with dialtosave? Or whether the problem is with my computer?0

Thanks for posting about DialToSave.
We were experiencing some technical difficulties last week but these have been corrected and the registration is now working.
Please be aware that messages from the DialToSave Cashback Reminder service are treated as spam by many email programs, so please add noreply@dialtosave.co.uk to your spam whitelist, or if you use Gmail then go into your spam folder, select the email from DialToSave, and click the "Not Spam" button.
If you have any questions, please PM me.
And just to compare our service to using a standard calendar service, as that was mentioned as an alternative, DialToSave allows you to choose the retailer you purchased from, and the date you received the mobile phone, and it will automatically calculate the correct dates to send you the reminders.0 -
I used dialtosave to call a landline abroad, instead of charging me the 1.5p rate advertised, they charged me at the 13p mobile rate.
They don't have a service line, or indeed any phone number (they are a phone company - you work it out), you have to use an automated, and complicated web system to complain.
When I put a complaint in they just stonewalled, I had to threaten them with the small claims court and solicitors costs to get my money back.
I strongly suggest you have nothing to do with them.0 -
Anyone relying on someone else to remind them of when to send their cashback claims shouldn't be using a cashback contract in the first place. There is a lot more to it than sending a claim at the right time and if you can't even do that much yourself don't get involved in the first place. Besides, the interpretation of when (and what and how) to send a given claim depends on t&c which delaers later change and sometimes deliberately misinterpret. Make sure it is you who interprets it correctly and then you should be in a much better potion should you need to sue. I would add that the reassurance of someone else promting you to send a claim imbues a sense of security which is highly dangerous. There are countless thousands of people who claimed at the correct time and still got stuffed - and people who have advised others on here to send in the wrong claim unknowingly; the Mobiles.co.uk was guilty of that in respect of his own claim system with one person on here. I repeat - rely on yourself and if you cannot, avoid!0
