Just a warning regarding Checkoutsmart and Quidco... I can't be the only one who didn't know this!
I realised they were run by the same people, but what I didn't realise is that you can't use the same receipt for different offers for both of them. E.g. if you have strawberries and Clover on the same receipt, and strawberries are on COS and Clover is on Quidco, you can't use the same receipt for both of them.
I think this is unfair and doesn't make sense as they are different offers, but there you go.
Isn't it about time for the Quidco Rep to comment on this situation? They have been very quiet since February.0 -
ernie-money wrote: »Another warning regarding (not so)-checkoutsmart. They charge you 5% when you withdraw your funds, whereas quidco is free. If I'd realised that I would have put everything through quidco, as they had the same items, but I didn't think it made any difference, so uploaded the receipt to checkoutsmart instead. I won't be doing that again!
I don't understand why they have the two apps, why not just put all offers on Quidco instead to make it simpler, or is it just me..?
Does checkoutsmart charge the 5% or is it paypal. I haven't got enough yet to withdraw but glad I know now. I will be careful with these offers as I have messed up several times with the cashback claiming over shopitize, TCB and quidco.0 -

Was just going to post this! Only just noticed the charge last night. I suppose it's better than nothing if Quidco is offering anything, but I think 5% is quite a lot.0 -
I'm new to checkoutsmart, just done my first shop. Surprised you dont have to scan the barcode like you to on Shoptize, who I usually use. The items I have purchased are still showing even though I have uploaded the receipt, is this because its not been accepted yet?
I read earlier in the thread they are connected to quidco, which I dont use. Is there any connection to Shopitize, ie if I have items on the same receipt for both apps?
Thanks for posting re the 5% is that whichever way to withdraw the cash as I cant see anything about that on their website?0 -

AFAIK checkoutsmart is not connected to Shopitize, I have used the smae receipt for both Quidco Click Snap and Shopitize and been ok.
Yes I'm pretty sure it;s 5% to withdraw with checkoutsmart regardless of the method you use. I've not withdrawn anything yet although that's only because I haven't tried.off to try now if I've enough to withdraw

It was posted yesterday on March 31, I really think if its meant as an April fool then they stand to lose a lot more than they'll gain.
Anyone got a £50 receipt they could upload to check, don't want to risk it incase its not honoured.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
