Vodafone Online Account Nightmare

HI All

Have been trying, to no avail, for the past 3 days to register on this site (Been with VF for 6 years+). Despite being the main account holder, once registered I get this message:
Your request hasn't been approved yet

Your request to access My account needs to be approved by the person who set up the account. You can send them a reminder.

I click the button to send a reminder and it says, sorry cannot complete this action.

Have spoken with several people on Vodafone CS and they just delete my account and ask me to start again. Every time I start again I get the same issue.

Any ideas on how this can be solved?

  • Its a difficult one you have my sympathies for.

    Recently I have had similar. It turns out that they automatically delete your account for a surprising number of changes. But nobody tells you that...! So you run round in endless circles...

    So like me if you are making a string of changes you have to keep registering as a new user!

    I finally got setup on Mon and I wondered why I bothered as most links don't work and send you to the site map page!!! Or 'our site is down...'

    Pretty dire really...
  • It's been broken for some days. I was trying to check a PAYG SIM I have with Vodafone for holidays abroad.

    I know what my password and user name is but it wasn't having it.

    I eventually did their contact form and after a couple of days I got a reply which contained the following, almost entirely useless, "information".

    "Thank you for contacting Vodafone customer service with regards to online account.

    I do understand your concern. I would like to share that currently there is a technical problem going on with the online My account. This problem is already escalated to our online escalation team. The problem will be resolved as soon as possible. I'll not be able to give you an exact timescale as to when the issue will be rectified.

    Once it will get resolved you will be able to use your online account as before."


    Perhaps it will be mended one day.

    All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website.

    It has been sorted now thanks, in the end a customer services guy fixed it quickly but the annoying thing is if he could do it, why could the others not. It really would have saved a lot of time, hassle and frustration on both fronts.
