  • Hi, I have had a quote from Co-op who didnt ask about BR online. I phoned them up to check and they said that they are not concerned about bankruptcy. They also said that if you apply online you will be accepted but if you apply over the phone you will be credit checked and so may not get it.
Unfortunately my premium was coming up almost £300 more than my currnt policy. I cant afford to pay a lump sum so I may have to pay £300 extra just to be able to pay monthly :(
  • Thanks, was wondering about the co op but thought they didnt let you pay monthly

Don't know your age Hardupandfedup but if you're "lucky" enough to be over fifty try RIAS. Had no issue at all paying monthly with them and they comfortably undercut every other quote I had.

Was with Direct Line at BR and renewed with them on monthly payments while still undischarged without problem (though under £500 obviously).
Procrastination is my middle name....well it would be if I could be ar**d to contact Deed Poll."
  • Not quite fifty yet! Any others please

    I use SwiftCover.

I have also used LV but when I rang for a renewal figure they credit checked- they didn't on the original Internet policy though.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!
  • Do most ask about br?

I used SwiftCover too - on line, with no BR questions. It gave me the option to pay in a lump sum or monthly.

Luckliy I was able to pay the lump sum cos the quote was so good!
  • I use autodirect & pay monthly with no issues!
  • I have just done a quote on swift cover, brilliant price but wont let me pay monthly :(
  • Its very confusing! Dont get why they wont let people pay monthly as surely if you dont pay they cancel insurance anyway?
