But the OP is with nPower...
Without the facility set up to input a gas reading I don't see how any supplier could give an instant online update of the account :huh:Yep and thats the problem I have. I've moved three months ago now and still have no idea how much I have used.
Hi, the point I was making (obviously not very well) was that even with a gas account set up , NPowers systems are so basic that when inputting meter readings you get no indication of your account balance !!
They produce a bill every 6 months.0 -

This is correct. Even with BG you can get an estimate of your balance.
Also, you won't get a bill until something like 3 months after the account actually gets set up (though they will promise one earlier).0 -
I've got the same problem, my account isn't properly set up. I'm still getting bills for the old tenants account, but not had any correspondence for myself.
I've called a couple of times & they reckon it's 'all going through okay' but is taking longer as they've 'got a backlog'...I first gave them all the details in November!!
My DD is set up, but they've yet to actually take any money. They say I can make a payment over the phone, but I'm a bit wary about throwing money at them without any paperwork.
Wish I could just sack them off & move elsewhere, but that might just complicate matters furtherWondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0 -
