Thanks guys, want to buy a heater tomorrow, and have my mums card that she gave me ages ago.
If it doesn't work, then no problem.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
I don’t know this for certain but legend has it that B& Q can be a bit fussy about these cards.
If you are using your mums discount card you may need to pay cash or use mum’s debit or credit card, not your own.
Even the self-scanner will throw a wobbly if your name is different to your mum’s.0 -

The name on the diamond card and whatever card you use to pay must be the same to get the discount, and remember it's Wednesdays only (very occasionally they do a promotion so it can be used on other days).
There is often an attendant on the self-serve points, and if they see a thirty-something using a diamond card, even paying with cash, they might be awkward, especially if it's a substantial purchase. After all, its a promotion specifically for over 60's. Will you be trying to use your mother's bus pass to get home?A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove you don't need it.0 -
I got my heater this morning, went to self scan, swiped the diamond card, paid and left.
The assistant didn't bat an eye!
I rarely shop at B&Q, as it's mostly expensive though. (As Mr T says..) Every little helps!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
