Who has sold a property using an online estate agent?

You make the offer to the online agent who then forwards them to the vendor. You can then feedback through the agent to the person making the offer. The agent I used (Housenetwork) did everything except the viewings. They will also chase up viewers for feedback. I was very impressed with them and delighted to save so much money. In addition, my house was undervalued by the high street agent and it would have lost me £20K had I gone with him.Je suis sabot...0

Thanks, all. It did make sense to go through the agent; I was just getting very confused by the amount of people on these boards who post about having negotiated directly with their vendor after a second view, and then calling the estate agent just to let them know the situation... don't know how common this is in the 'real world'...?0

Sounds like you got a good online agent. My experience is a little different so far though, hence my question (no follow-up from my first viewing; about 3 different contact numbers to call; different person picking up each time; inability to answer most questions about the property)...0 -
I still think the majority of people go through agents but I think there will come a time when online only takes off. Will need a big brand to make that happen.....google????0
