I give her white chocolate and not as a part of her food. It's to get tablets into her - I melt one square in the microwave, shove the pill in the middle and then fold over some of the melted white chocolate, and then leave it to set. From being a dog that used to be able to spit out a pill in her food, to being a dog that used to stand outside after a walk because she knew what would happen when she came in - she now races in after a walk and rushes over to her white chocolate tin, wagging her tail.

I'm stressing the white chocolate because I buy the cheapest stuff I can get, and all it is is sugar and fat. There is absolutely no cocoa in it at all and I'm afraid to say that even so-called Dog Chocolate is a no-no.

I've had a fantastically helpful reply from the Burn$ people, following a request for a sample, at the behest of Get the Max in Post 4. I cannot sing their praises enough. The information they supplied, and the advice they have given were both absolutely spot on and I am already confident that this dog's dietry problems are solved.

    Confession Time

I have been over-feeding her, and too zealous in my mis-guided attempts to get her to eat. In 24 hours, the change in her is quite remarkable and I am very, very grateful to them.
    Better is good enough.
