But what can the company do once you have the prize? If they see it on ebay are they going to knock on your door and ask for it back? I doubt it! Many companies only run comps to promote their company so aren't interested in what the winner does with the prize. Tickets are different of course - they could cancel them!
Baxters is one which includesPrize cannot be sold on for financial gain0 -
Id enter, and move our old one upstairs! We have never had a TV in our bedroom!Wishing you all good luck!

hell yes i enter it!
our TV is about 12 years old so although we dont NEED another one, a new one would be nice
we would stick the old one in the bed room0 -
Now be honest - a £4000 tv is up for grabs - you don't need a new tv so do you enter? Answer truthfully!
My answer - yes - as I would sell it and the money would treat my family to many luxuries!
I don't need it, I have perfectly functioning TV's but with the exception of one flat screen, they are all the old fashioned massive back TV's (not sure of technical term). Would I enter? Yes because I could then return the ones I have to Noah's Ark or an appreciative museum.
Do I judge people for daring to enter to sell? Absolutely not, I had to give up work in 2009, while I don't go out of my way to enter for comps I have no use for, my wins mean I don't have to spend much on family pressies, meaning my income goes on mortgage, so my family get gifts they would like, and I still have a roof over my head without having a dilemma of do I pay mortgage or get kids what they want/need.
Might be a case of double standards though, when you see people using sob stories to win potties or kids DVD's only to flog them on Ebay I do find that a bit distasteful!
On saying that I noticed someone mention last month they thought it wrong to enter wedding comps, if you're not getting married. I won one last month, am not getting married but sister is in 15 weeks & it's a formal do, I won a suit for OH, which means I don't have to spend on him so can spend a little more on myself, as her only living family, this means a lot to me and I had no qualms about thatI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

There's only one line you would ever need to use in that situation and it comes from another thread started by andrew71 in CCC.
For hits and giggles I've started to use that in the 'post a comment to enter' comps, looking forward to getting some wins from it!:p
Think we're on the same wavelength Ren, win & sell whatever, but to use your pet newt, or 1 legged rabbit or even more unpleasant stories to win a potty you then sell for 99p when someone really really needed one is a bit iffy.
TV's, DVD Players, Games, Furniture, Clothes, Food, Hotel Stays fill your boots, but begging for little things that are age specific is not nice xxI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
