Now be honest - a £4000 tv is up for grabs - you don't need a new tv so do you enter? Answer truthfully!
My answer - yes - as I would sell it and the money would treat my family to many luxuries!

I don't need a TV but I too would enter to sell. Why not? I need cash more than a TV and someone else would pick up a bargain in the process, it's a win/win situationA closed mouth gathers no feet.0

And I wouldn't feel bad either because, in these tight times, my children would appreciate some days out and treats! Seeing their little faces smile in delight would make any feelings of guilt disappear!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

yes of course, we invest our valuable time to enter comps so we have the right to do what ever we want with the prizes. keep them, give them to loved ones or sell them.
i dont agree to the if you dont want it dont enter attitude. the odds are stacked against us for every comp so the more we enter the more chances of getting something for our invested time. if a prize has good value it makes sense to enter and sell it and buy something for your self or a loved one with the money you get.
For example i won a black berry at the start of the year. i dont need a new phone as i have a samsung android but i used the money i got to help pay for a laptop i was desperate for. i have found that wins are not frequent enough to be picky.0 -
Yes of course. Though I would prob keep the new TV and sell the older one!!!
Nothing wrong with it, if you enter and win, you win fair and square. It's up to you what you do with the prize I think
The only thing I don't enter is baby/children comps because I don't know or have any babies/children and wouldn't know the first thing about selling the stuff!!!0 -

Just an hour a day over a year means you need to win over £2,200 a year just to equal the minimum wage0 -

But what can the company do once you have the prize? If they see it on ebay are they going to knock on your door and ask for it back? I doubt it! Many companies only run comps to promote their company so aren't interested in what the winner does with the prize. Tickets are different of course - they could cancel them!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Yes I would enter
OH would have me sell our TV to swap it for the £4k one :rotfl:0 -
Yes. I can always give it as a present to someone I knowDecember Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers0

I am only asking because on this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4452277 posted by Catswiththumbs, there are a few compers who claim they would defo not enter to win something they did not need. I am guessing at least 99% of compers would enter this comp whether they need a new tv or not!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Hell yes, nobody NEEDS a £4000 TV :rotfl:
I would have no qualms about selling it and buying a 32" flatscreen for us (our TV is one of the huge old types) and then having a family holiday with some of the proceeds x
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0
