Get your self a metallic orange Kia Sportage then drive it down the A34 at night (70mph Dual carriageway) on sidelights, DRLs (Audi type that follow the shape of the headlight unit) and front fogs. What a (insert word for male Chicken here)

Not me, I have a boring old Vectra, no front fogs or DRLs.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
I don't even know what a DRL is.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Could be a relative of the inconsiderate driver of the orange van that ended up on its roof yesterday afternoon taking traffic at the top of the M3 to a snail pace for several hours.  :mad:0

And old Volvos0 -
Except old Volvo DRLs aren't obnoxiously bright LEDs that leave after images on your retina. Instead they're a nice solid block of noticible but inoffensive light that makes it easy to judge the car's speed and direction.
If modern DRLs were like the old Volvo ones, people wouldn't complain about them so much.0 -
I thought DLR were meant to either switch down to side light level or off all together when side light s are on.
Fog lights instead of dipped seems to becoming increasing popular in my neck of the wood, DLR visited or not.
The old Volvo sides were just side lights that didn't go out if memory is right ? I've got nowt against dlr, I must add just idiots.0 -

Same here too, plenty of people seem willing to use their fog lights instead of dipped beam these days. It doesn't seem to matter that they aren't as bright and are useless at speed.0
