argh! I say keep arguing it out and contact the ISP, they cant just say *oh sorry we forgot to tell you but thats the policy* because their t&c say different.

I had similar trouble to this but it was with TNT Magazine not CNT. I presume the advice I got will be the same though.

You should contact Trading Standards who will have all the details you need. You need to keep the original winning email and make a note of any correspondence with them. I kept fighting and got a similar trip out of the magazine as compensation but it took a lot of expensive phonecalls to Holland and London to get it.

On a side note I'd just like to say...WOW...you guys are great giving all that useful advice (half of which I'd never even have thought of!). I love how our little comping family rally together like this - you guys are the best !

Edit: I apologise for my earlier comment (I have now deleted it) - I didn't mean to offend you Jason and I certainly did not realise that loquax was such a great community too.

To be honest I only spent a short time on loquax last year and didnt find it very helpful (my personal opinion). Perhaps I didn't give it much of a chance - I didn't really get into it and found the whole setup too complicated for me (call me an ignoramus). In fact I had no idea you guys did all those things you mentioned in your pm.

Your best bet is contacting Advertising Standards http://www.asa.org.uk as there's evidence of unclear rules for this promotion.

ISP only offer best practice guidelines, so they're not enforceable, but ASA don't take too kindly to wrongful advertising and promotions, and imo will have a bit more clout in this situation.

i sent the ISP an email when i last posted here but didn't get a reply. i sent another a few days ago and still haven't got one. so i've just sent the ASA a complaint using their online form that you can fill in
