Keep on top of the tyre pressures. This can make a big difference which you normally wouldn't notice with PAS
  • The £100 Ka I bought at the weekend (see Bangernomics thread) doesn't have power steering. Its little bit tough when parking and turning corners at slow speed but fine every other time. Soon get used to it.

I had a Renault 19 ('F plate), then a Ford Sierra ('D' plate), then an old Vaz 2113 (Lada Samara) and an ancient Merc 300D, latter two when I returned to Russia for a few years, none of which had PS.

The Samara had the braking properties of cheese, but apart from that all good cars, and the former two I still see on the 6th form circuit when I go that way.

Nothing much to worry about there :)

no power steering is fine, i would be more worried about if anything goes wrong with the engine as the 3 cylinder ones can be hard to find.

I know they're smaller than 4 cylinder engines but aren't the 3 cylinder engines under the bonnet in the engine bay like all other engines? :)

They are truly rubbish cars (the engine is a joke) with the saving grace they are still popular with younger drivers as they are low insurance.
Get the front tyres pumped up to 40psi and see it fly away to some young eejit with dreams of turning it in to a show car.
