Thanks so much for the well wishes everyone! We've instructed a bid of 105,501 (a palendrome, like my name lol) and just hoping for the best! There hadn't been any other notes of interest as of 5pm last night. I can say that our new solicitor is fab though and i'd be happy to recommend him to anyone looking.

The roof was a category 2 repair as there was a low level reading of dampness (on a rainy day), so we're crossing fingers that it shouldn't be *too* big a job to patch up in the short term.

I'll keep you all posted how we get on! X

GL - rooting for you OP. As for the other note of interest - it isn't guaranteed they'll even submit an offer, lets hope they choose not to ;)

Offer accepted!!! Feeling a bit spaced out about it all!! Now just paranoid that the mortgage app won't go through lol - I don't think I'm going to relax until those keys are in our hands!!

Thanks so much to everyone for your advice and hand-holding this last week or two!

    Congratulations!
  • Good luck in your new home and hope you've started looking for sheep / cows / goats to help keep your garden grass down.

Your garden is huge, but ideal for the kids, their friends, toys and of course barbeque's if we have a summer.

Thanks a million folks! Pretty funny as we're going from a 1st floor flat to that, so I don't think the novelty of mowing the lawn will wear off for the hubster for at least the first year lol! Considering we are soon to have 3 kids and many of our twins' friends are also twins, I'm sure the garden will get plenty of use, even if we do get a typical summer! The mortgage app hoop-jumping has begun, so it's all under way! Scary stuff! x

    Well done!!

There will no doubt be a few things that need sorting during the purchase (as always) but you are on the road to your (meantime) ideal house.

It looks really nice, and Neilston is very convenient for the city centre.

    Good Luck!!
