Another low star !!!

After the 9 x 3* for item as described left by a competitor who then relisted the items for three times the price and in 'excellent condition', I now have 2* for postage and packing.
By running reports, I have found the culprit. She bought two items, I combined postage at the exact postage cost (£2.20). The items are now relisted at twice the price with postage at £3.65 !
I spoke with Dublin CS, who said my buyer must have been having a bad day and refused to do anything about it. They then made the mistake of sending me a customer survey, needless to say, it wasn't very complimentary.
If I was vindictive, I would buy something and then trash her stars, but have settled for blocking her instead.

Unfortunately, I don't sell thousands of items, so it will take a long time to dilute this.

She wasn't "having a bad day", she is delibrately trying to devalue your account so that she can sell the same goods as you but at a higher price. Competition is all well and good but this is just nasty.

No luck. Tried again and was told that trying to find out who left the stars is a suspendable offence.

Sellers seem obsessed with their stars but, if it's any consolation, buyers like me rarely look at them. I factor in the cost of P+P when bidding and if the item is sent quickly, is well-packaged and as described then I'm happy.
I'll only check the sellers feedback if it's less than 100% - to see if there is a recurring issue or just a one-off problem.0 -

Of course we are obsessed, it it what ebay use to restrict or suspend us. as few as 3 lows on a low user seller can lead to suspension.
