Bad Pool Header/Caller

Hi can anyone help me...i have recently kept getting the blue screen of death with the heading of either Bad Pool Header or Bad Pool Caller, what is happening is that my modem doesnt connect( which has always happened since tiscali sent it to me, its a sagem 800 i think) so i disconnect the usb and then i get the blue screen, i have done everything that it tells me but it wont allow me to try and delete the drivers for the modem to reinstall them because it keeps blue screening me, can anyone out there help me, tiscali tell me it is not the modem but the operating system

BAD_POOL_HEADER is more often than not a driver issue, first thing todo is try and get hold of some newer drivers or some verified drivers and see if they help.

can the modem be connected via ethernet as well as usb? if it can try ethernet connection instead, it's as prev poster suggests might be a driver issue might be a hardware issue...damn microsoft & vague error messages if you can pull any more info from error message it could help pinpoint

thanks, all the error says is that it is PROBABLY a hardware or driver error....but its so hit and miss....as you can see i`m online now...but if i disconnect and the modem fails to connect, i take out the usb and immediatly get blue screen error

Sorry to raise an old thread.....

I recently upgraded from Windows Vista to 7 (32 bit version) and since I've done this I was getting fuzzy lines on the screen then the system rebooted. Now I'm getting the blue screen error message. From some advice I've seen, it's recommended to download a registry cleaner, specifically Reg Cure. I've downloaded the scanner for Reg Cure, scanned and have been told that I have almost 3000 problems that need fixed!!!!

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L300D with AMD Athlon dual core processor, 2Gig memory.

Husband upgraded drivers for me after my upgrade, (which I should mention was a clean install, not an actual upgrade) which included the chipset driver and software drivers for printer etc.

I'm so fed up with my laptop crashing and it tends to be worse after a hibernation, though it does randomly crash whilst in use too.

    Any help gratefully received please!!!
Can anyone advise is this the correct way to proceed or am I barking up the wrong tree and wasting my time?

It's just trying to scare you into paying for it - if the registry really was that broken your PC probably wouldn't even boot!

    Try this instead.
