Hi everyone,
Many thanks for all your suggestions re the cereal bars. I really appreciate you all taking the time to respond.Poundland has Nature Valley Bars atm and also stocks lots of others. I always buy my cereal bars from here.
Good to know and there's one near me so I'll check it out. Thanks medsdemon!MrsCautious wrote: »Hi, I'm another one who has the 99p Store to thank for cheaper cereal bars, same brands but available there -- I forget too often though, also Medleys are on offer in Waitrose, they seem to be quite often on offer in Sainsbury's and Co-op as well, £1 for a box.
Thanks MrsCautious, never bought Medleys before because I thought they were biscuits!!??:o Will have to take a second look!Islandmaid wrote: »
Norabatty - I make flapjacks for OH and kids to take to school/work as they love cereal bars and I can,t afford to keep up with them eating so many. 500g of oats makes about 24 large ones
They sound lovely Islandmaid - do you have a recipe??:DOverpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

Just a totally off the wall suggestion but the cereal bars you talk about are all half price at 0cado, for a first time shopper theres a £20 off a first shop, You could stock up??

Thanks JIL, Ocado looks great but they don't deliver to my area (boo! hiss!), which is a real pity cos I could have saved myself a fortune!

The month has got off to quite a start. I had book club on Friday and spent £44.56 in sainsbugs buying wine and food for it. Sat DH went to Ald* for cereal and spent £24 there. Sunday i managed £11.00 at Lidl for packed lunch stuff and today £1.45 for potatoes. Wow!! Lots of shopping and I don't feel I have lots in.
I need to buy fruit and veg yet, but hope for a NSD tomorrow and we have enough to last til Wednesday.

Have been stuck in due to lurgy (son's got it too)
Have bit the bullet and ordered my main groceries from S'burys, should be around £50 inc delivery but I'll not update my sig until it's delivered tomorrow in case of price change etc.
Need to do a freezer check list so I can get meal planning and use up some of the older bits!"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0
