I'm back in for March and hoping to spend no more than £300 this time. Wish me luck. OH has had no work since before Christmas and we need to watch our budget even more carefully.Books - the original virtual reality.

We are not having a very good start to the month having spent £150.99 on groceries and £12.40 on a chinese takeaway in 1 week:eek: Some of this was to make use of offers on beans, dog food and coffee (but not enough to justify the overspend) and the chinese was medicinal last night as we all have a bad cold and I couldnt be bothered to cook. I did eat it all for once though
We are doing SW, well DH is and I am eating it too as I am enjoying the food. The amount of salad and fresh fruit I am buying is is stretching the budget and I was hoping DH would have cut his wine consumption more than he has to compensate. I have dropped our budget this month as well which probably wasnt very good timing.
This week I am setting myself a challenge of only buying fresh fruit, salad and any lunch bits we need. I have done a meal plan for this week and next and we really do not need anthing meat wise or for the freezer. If I can get an aldee voucher from the paper this week I will use that and stick to the minimum spend including DH wine. I have a bottle from the dine in for tenner from marksies we had last week.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

We really need to do this this month. We've got our wedding to pay for and a few of the payments due this month.
We shall try and stick to £180 this month- using up things in our pantry and rather full freezer.
Our month goes from 27th Feb- 26th March (paydays).April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500
