i still use chq book, I can only assume that some people have never been a victim of chqbook theft and the consequences.
Its a nightmare.
I had my handbag stolen back in 2000, - included was chq book, - the nightmare I had, although had store cards, credir cards - simple to sort out but the bank they didnt class chq book theft as a crime - i ended up doing all the running around when got chqs sent back to me, a £900 overdraft (was a lot then) bank charges coming out of me ears - the person who stole it went on a spending spree in 48hrs she used 20 chqs.
it took me 3 mths to get sorted.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Considering how few people do use cheques these days it seems a very odd thing to make a documentary film about .....Very limited interest.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

Have to agree here, hardly current. If they want to make a documentary they should have a look at the Gumtree thread or similar, that would help people more0 -
If he offered I might but I never see him. Anyway, I like the optionn of being able to write a cheque. It also means there's no chance of my internet banking paying to the wrong account (if I put the number in wrong) and it going astray and me not being able to get it back.
Next thing they'll be making us have paperless statements.
It's all for the banks convenience and not for mine.
Oh and I assume my window cleaner pays in all his cheques at once and not just my small one.
Curious about the thinking behind this - it's obviously your choice to do as you see fit.
But you are okay with sending your name, address, bank details and signature through the post (and in an envelope that is pushed through your door)?
Is the likelihood of you putting in the wrong account details any more likely than the post being interfered with?0 -
QUOTE=Wild Pics Have you had a cheque go missing in the post, your chequebook stolen or your chequebook counterfeited?
