I tend to do a lot of twitter, which is why my win rate is probably a lot higher than a lot of people.
. As in 10/100 entered on the 30th Jan (for example)
Where do you find them all? It baffles me - same with lots of FB ones; I see people win but I never actually see the comp
I do the Twitter ones posted on MSE but I miss loads and loads. Mind you, I don't use Twitter except for competitions so I suppose it helps if you are on it a lot because then you see the comps as they are posted.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -

Also, how do they not end up in Twitter jail for RT'ing too often? :huh:0 -
I search on twitter. I try my hardest to find low entries! I enter ones with less than 15 RT's
You need to spread it out during the day. Most twitter ones run 9am - 3pm/5pm. Monday - Friday. With Friday being the best day. I end up in jail on Friday almost every week!
There was a whole discussion on twitter if you want to know more about winning on there.
Ah sorry, I read it as 'if you won't win" Eyes going to quick for my brain today!Of course! Only enter for things you want. Not a scuba diving kit if you live in a city! :P
It's a matter of searching for low entry competitions, you can find lots if you put the effort into it. Stay away from large companies with 2000+ RT's - unless it's for a prize such as an iPad/laptop!
There was a competition last year for only 18-25year olds. There were 10 shortlisted and 3 winners. I won £100 ticket master voucher. If you fall into a certain category then that's great too. I have the advantage of only being 22 so there are lots of student comps and things aimed at that age range.- Maybe find something you're interested in, search on google and comps just pop up
.\
But then, someone can enter 30,000+ a year and win nothing. Someone could enter only 100 and win them all.x

This comping malarky is a bit like fishing:-
You can go for ages without a bite.
You get lots of bites close to each other.
The more worms you dangle- the better your odds.
But most importantly to round off my analogy with reference this forum-
If you aren't catching anything at the moment, like fishing- it's reassuring to see other people "catching"- just shows that the fish are in the pond, and the prizes are there to be won.I am a Random Number!(£174)

Glad to see and read this thread.
Over 2.5 years, won nothing except a plastic bag with a picture of Hotel Transylvania on it, which has broken within 5 days.
Have upped it now and am entering about 100-200 a day for February. Nothing yet....
Glad there are other people like me !Amazingly grateful and stunned by those who post these competitions. Thank you, and for all the love on here ! x0 -
I had a really good January, a not so good February but I haven't done anything different.
It really just comes down to the luck of the draw, rather than a certain way of entering competitions.
Someone has on their sig that they enter for fun and anything won is a bonus. This is something I agree with.
Hopefully more wins will come the way of those who feel they are not getting much return just now. In the meantime, just enjoyDear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.0 -
If you find out, let me know
I haven't even had any small wins yet!
Cant believe you still havnt had a win yet Pechow. I think we started comping around the same time and I had some lovely wins. Had a dry spell from about April last year and have only entered on and off. Havnt won much since then but I keep thinking I need to get back into it. Got to be in it to win it as they say.
Good luck to everyone, it must be our turn soon, think Pechow is saving all their luck for a big win!

Ah, I mean low entry local ones. Like shops in my local area, which, I have visited and such. Ones which I have bought from
. I don't use mse for twitter comping, it's too quick. But, by the time I find any other comps they have been posted
.
I'm sure with searching there are lots of comps that are not posted on here, that people have entered. Especially photo ones. I remember someone saying they had won, being the only entrant!
But, back to OP, if you're entering less than 50 a day. You're probably not hitting the amount that most compers here are doing. A lot will be doing 200+ Inc dailies and things. Just keep goingx

There's no way I could enter 200 competitions a day. Aside from not having the time (I'm unemployed at the moment but at the same time, comping fits into my day, not the other way around) I couldn't find 200 things a day I'd want to compete for! And I'd hate to just enter comps for the sake of it. Especially if some of the comps I was entering would mean the world to someone else to win!Debt free 6th December 2014
