^ I think he means clip arts, or free vectors gathered around the web. That kind of thing. Many people believe that because somethings on the internet it is free to use, but that isn't the case.

If they've not been licensed correctly, you can land in heaps of trouble for copyright breaches.

IP theft can carry a custodial sentence, and they can cease all profits that have been made as a result of the theft.

It's an area you really don't want to fall foul of, but the majority of the time companies will just issue a cease and desist.

If you've knowingly breached the law, professional indemnity insurance will be void as well.

A lot of creatives invest time in making sure they can always prove ownership, many people belong to ACID.
