You have to contact them for the free designs but they have live chat..
  • I hate to be that person, but their work is really bad. I've had a look at their portfolio, and the logos are awful. Completely unoriginal, hideous clip-art, terrible typography. They look like they were done in 1991 by a 14-year-old who just got his first Mac and some free graphics software.

There's a reason why good designers charge hundreds, even thousands of pounds for a logo and you're getting this for free. You may not think it matters, but it makes your business look unprofessional. If someone handed me a card with this sort of logo, it would go straight in the bin. Whatever you save by not hiring a proper designer, you will lose 10 times more in business.

Fair point on your opinion but I disagree. I could not fault their service and I have had many compliments on my designs from friends already.

Even if they are not the best of quality, this forum is to save money after all, and if you don't have the expense to pay well over the odds then who can complain!!

I agree the examples on the website aren't great, but as you say you generally get what you pay for - to a degree.

I'd be more worried that there is no contact address I can see on the website, illegal if trading in the UK. Also that the language and the general standard of English is what you'd normally find on websites produced on the Asian continents.

Further to this a lot of the information on their website is text made into images. This is not good for website searches as Google won't pick up this text. I noticed much of the text on the payment page is done this way and wonder if this has been done deliberately.

Have nothing against thepixelcloud.co.uk site and this may all be coincidence but to me the whole thing has proceed with caution written all over it.

Actually I can now see they've just copied and changed most of the images on their payment page from the PayPal website, not something a legitimate company would be doing unless of course they have permission from PayPal to use and edit PayPal copyright images?
  • May I ask, why are you all moaning over a freebie? If you don't like my thread then move onto the next one.. ?

Your not graphics designers yourself by any chance are you? you seem to be very protective over something that is free. Some freebies on this forum don't even turn up, so it can't be that bad?

If my memory serves me correct they are from St Helens, Merseyside UK.
  • Promotion is back on for those who missed out last time round.
