EE Broadband

Has anyone on here used them? Are they any good? Do they charge for installing a new line?
I'm with SKY at the moment but I will be leaving them soon.
I have an Orange mobile and the price for EE's broadband seems quite good. (EE is a ridiculous name, I had to add that in)
Thanks for any help given.

Why do you need a new line if you already have Sky broadband?
Sky LLU to EE-why?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Just remember EE ADSL broadband is really Orange, the network is managed by BT.
SKY BB is not dependent on having Sky TV.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
The one thing to remember is Sky bb unlimited is truly unlimited theres no download limits but more importantly no traffic management or slowing it down at peak times.
Of course ee can give some decent offers price wise but as mentioned before its just a repackaging of bt so before making a decision its worth taking into account what exactly you use the internet for.0 -

I've been told SKY are on a different network to EE, so a new line would be needed.Just remember EE ADSL broadband is really Orange, the network is managed by BT.

SKY increase the price is you don't have TV with them to more than what EE would charge. The one thing to remember is Sky bb unlimited is truly unlimited there's no download limits but more importantly no traffic management or slowing it down at peak times.

Me moving from SKY is in an effort to save money, they say their usage is unlimited, I don't know of their fair usage policy of traffic management but, when I live local usage means at peak times it slows anyway.
I use the internet a lot but their unlimited usage should be enough

Caveat emptor.
Sky do indeed charge £2.50/ month more for BB if you don't have TV.
You can recoup a little by paying your LR 12 months up front, but you need to be quick. Currently its £119.40 and you have to ring up to get it.
Buy cheap buy twice, as Granny used to say;)That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Completely untrue. EE is non-LLU (it's a BT Wholesale product), so you should be able to switch from an existing LLU serivice (assuming that is what you have, and not Sky Connect) back to BT. It's LLU to LLU transfers that are problematic.
However, given Horange's dire level of tech support, I'm not at all surprised that they told you this.
Much better to get yourself a retention deal with Sky for the reduced service. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for the advice.
I'm fairly sure SKY couldn't care less about me after I cut the fat (their TV service).0
