Plz do not put "not at this address". If you have a regular postie he may start sending back all your mail if he sees that.

"Unsolicited mail RTS" is adequate. And won't get the postie into trouble. Then ask them to remove you from mailing list.

Posties do not send back your all your mail if you put 'not at this address' Royal Mail deliver to the address...not the name! It doesn't matter what name is on the envelope...if it is your address, then postie is required to put it through your door.

Don't do this...it just causes problems for your poor posties, and will ultimately end up being delivered back to you.

Do as Saver says, write "not known at this address - return to sender" on them THEN pop them back in the post.

As for the rest of the junk mail..as long as it is unaddressed you can contact your local Royal Mail depot and ask them to stop 'door to doors' This will reduce some of it although it will not prevent the addressed junk. I think there is an equivalent mailing thingy to the TPS but am unable to find it.

    Hope you get it sorted.

If posties see enough mail being returned as Not at this address, they could stop delivering thinking that the person has moved away. They shouldn't do it, but they do. Just like they should do their redirections every day, but some don't...

agree, but the "Not at this address" bit, the postie is actually trying to do the owner a favour by sending the supposedly moved persons post back. So yes people don't write on it that you've moved basically when you haven't!

Not doing the redirections is mostly being lazy or forgetting.
