as pinkshoes and hapless say not legit agency will demand an upfront fee whether for adults or kids. Some people may get some work through them but by covering their costs there's no incentive for them to get work for those on their books.
thank god for MSE, I located bizzykids via google, and am pleased i proceeded no futher than researching on here....£4988 Lloyds TSB Mastercard
£400 O/D Lloyds TSB
£2650 Lloyds TSB Loan
£5070 Black Horse Finance
Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!0 -
i've recently been speaking to a lady at the agency as i was approached by several regarding my son whose 3 i found her very pleasant and most helpful yes she said there was a one off fee of £120 but she also said to me before i parted with any money add them as a friend on my facebook account as next month and every month they run competitions for free places to be represented by the agency and to try the competitions first which i thought was very kind and honest of her i have since added them on facebook and they have a lot of clints parents as friends who seem very happy with the service. the way i see it she didnt have to tell me about the competitions she could've just let me pay the money and be done with they seem genuine to me :T0

I found selling my children to the chinese restaurant black market was a much more time-efficient method of exploiting them for cash.0

Never pay up front - what incentive do they have to find your child work if they already have your money? I have been a signed off/on for the last 18 years, never pay an agency despite what they claim.0

My daughter was with bizzykids it is a legitimate agency however Elizabeth
Smith is better.
It is usual to pay a fee in child modelling but you would never have to for an adult agency. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

a little OT and out of curiousity, how long was it until you made your money back Ruby? does your daughter get a lot of work so that it's more than worth the fee or is it hard to break even? how much roughly does she make per shoot if you don't mind me asking?Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Out of interest folks, as I know someone who is about to embark on this, what are the initial fees?0

my boys were both with an agency called scallywags when they were younger, there was a fee to pay upfornt there usually is with child modelling, my youngest at the time actually got a job first before signing him up so they just took it out of his first pay.
im just about to sign my 3rd child up to an agency called bonnie and betty as i know a few friends who actually work for them at the moment and they have had regular work for thier children. there is a sign up fee of £60
you always have to update an agency regulary (how else are they going to know about changes and babys change very quickly) and yes you have to get a doctors certificate, they need to know your child is well, if they are signing them up for jobs and you have to let them down because of unwell children then the jobs they are sending you on could lose hundreds in fees for photographers/studios/other models etc
with babys a few decent home snap shots should be fine for the online catalouge like i said babies change quickly and you dont want to pay ou photoshoot fees every few months. most legit child agencys will accept thisnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0
