Daisies in lawn

Awww! Don't get rid of your daisies, MM. They are lovely.
I'm interested in this 'Mouse Ear' thingy, OldandHappy. What is it? I've got a creeping blue-flowered thing in my lawn - it looked quite nice at first but now there are big patches of it and no grass. I was wondering what it was - perhaps you've identified it for me?

Hi Kay,
Mouse ear if you gooogle you will see it is a chickweed type with white flowers. In our front lawn at various times of the year we have loads of weeds and one type has blue flowers(quite pretty really!!!)that is a tad invasive but unknown name I am afraid, but not in flower yet so maybe not what you have...not much help for you right now but will work on it. regards Mrs Happy0 -
Kay, you blue flower might be speedwell - we have it and that's what we call it - could well be wrong tho!
Never heards of the ears- thing!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Yes! It's speedwell. Thanks Nodders!
I've also got Mouse Ears, OldandHappy. On my lawn, not the side of my head. Well, I call it a lawn ...... but it's just a bit of old scrubland now that I know what those 'flowers' are. Ho hum.

I googled mouse ear to get a pic cos I think we have it but, - got pics of that gross experiment of the poor mouse with a human ear growing from it.:(
On the upside we don't seem to have mouse ear on our grass (wouldn't call it a lawn). We do have horse tail though aaaaargh.
It's only a game
