For a claim without any problems its currently taking 14 working days from start of the claim to payment so you may have a few days yet to wait . Is there a reason why your first 'proper' sign on wasnt until yesterday ? Seems an overly long time between initial interview and signing.

You may be able to have an interim payment if you ask though.

all i know is i did the form online on the 31/1, then had a text telling me to attend on 6/2, where they went through the claim, at that interview i was told to attend on 15/2 for 1st sign on which i did, i now dont go back till fri 1/3 for next sign on.

February Wins - Wombles Goody Bag, Ideal Home Show Tickets, Lunch on Cruise Ship

2013 aims - Ipad, Iphone, Family Holiday.
  • One of the safeguards in the system is that a NINO cannot be on more than one live claim. So if your number is (still) on his, your claim cannot be processed by computer. (as Banana said)

While it's a safeguard, it's also a nuisance when a couple separates and the innocent party is inconvenienced at least.

If it's a problem and you can't wait, they can pay you clerically, or whatever term they use currently.

i am not on his current claim as he is getting IS as he has the children at present. I am sure they will get round to sorting it out! thanks all :)

Well, I read your comment about the interview and the timing of that rather suggested that someone attempted to process your claim and discovered they couldn't because your NINO was on the system with his - regardless of which benefit is involved. If your NINO was on his I/S claim it would prevent JSA too.

That would have accounted for the screen message you mentioned.

There are other possible explanations. :)
