Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help, I am trying to organise a wedding in France, somewhere in the south or southwest. I'd ideally love an informal affair; a simple ceremony (non official - we will be getting legally married in the UK) followed by a cocktail reception, a buffet or sit down dinner, music and dancing for about 70 people. I have been doing a bit of research and I keep getting quotes of A LOT OF MONEY!!! Ideally, I'd like somewhere we could serve our own alcohol - and arrange our own catering.

Any help from anyone who has organised / been to a wedding in the south of France, ideas on venues would be much appreciated.

The south of france IS expensive, and for 70 people will probably be prohibitively so.

Either change your budget, expectations or guest numbers, because that isn't going to happen.

I'm not sure you can get married in France. You can get married here and do a vow renewal there? I'm sure you have to live on France to be married there.

Hi All

I know this is an old post, but people have been really helpful and open about their costs in the past, I thought I would give it a shot.

I was wondering if anyone would be happy to let me know how much their own wedding abroad will/did cost? Also, any recommendations for reputable companies to go through?

We are either going to get married in October later this year or next May bank holiday.

At the moment I am interested in
- Cypress
- Sorrento
- Serretini
but we are very open to suggestions and advice.
I am concerned about hidden costs, so any help would be grateful!

Hi there I was just reading your post from around 10 years ago lol about how you got married in Cyprus, sounds amazing, me and my fianc! are planning on marrying in Cyprus in June and would love any possible tips you could give us, like you we are looking for a small low key low budget wedding, and also you said about an address you could give?
