    Er, see post #5
She couldn't over ride this on her system & therefore with Albany assîstance, so has arranged hire cover with another company who will call me back.

She's apologies & has said that as a manager shell let the sale team know.

Is this enough or should I complain to get compensation?

Except that it appears that the insurers have simply put the OP in touch with a credit hire firm; not a hire car at the insurer's expense.

OP - the answer will all be in your policy booklet.

You will have been given a policy booklet (written, email, or download) at or shortly after the policy purchase. Whatever is in those terms will apply, because by failing to dispute or cancel the policy, you are deemed to have accepted them.

I know most people just chuck them in a drawer, but they are a legal document and it's at times like this it becomes important to understand what's in them.
