Humax Problem!

  • If you go into menu then record, scroll down to Recording Start Time and End Time. To record series link they need to be marked 'on time'.
    Yes they are marked On Time.
  • Received Reply from Humax asking for my Postcode and they think it may need a Manual Tune. They will advise how to do this.
  • OK. Easy bit first.
    Go to https://www.digitaluk.co.uk and enter your postcode.
    It will give you some options. Press "How do I tune" and you will see a list of channels that you have to manually install. Make a note of the numbers except the HD one.
    To add minutes to the beginning and end of the recording -
    Press menu-scroll to the video cassette at the top and press. Now scroll down to 4 or 5. Add as required. Press menu to escape.
    To Reset and Manually tune-
    Press menu-scroll down to Installation and press. Now scroll down to 4-press and "YES" - 0000 to enable.This will take you to Automatic Search. Press Stop then press OK and OK again. You will be back at the search page. Scroll down to Manual and press.
    Enter each channel on the list you wrote down and "Search". This will take several goes.After each search press Save. When all is done press menu and you will be back on the channels.

    Although Humax said a Manual Retune may correct the problem, it has not!
    This morning Scheduled Programmes have cleared.
    Any more checks I can do?

    Just a thought. How much spare capacity have you on the hard drive?
    Go to menu-press record-scroll down to HDD control and see how much is free.

  • OK. Running out of ideas.
    Are you altering your start/finish times at all. To record series programmes the timers must stay at "on time". Not the best option but the computer can't work both options.
    I am trying something on mine about midday and will not have a result until late afternoon.
