Humax Problem!

I have had a Humax Recorder for 18 months but I cannot now record a series as overnight the Recording Schedule goes blank.
If I Reinstall will all the Programmes I have recorded be lost?
Thank you.

Yes, a Factory Restore would wipe existing recordings and personal settings.
First thing to do is check for a software update-which version are you running?

    Model. PVR- 9150T
  • This old thread might interest you. I'm afraid the two standard remedies to this sort of problem are a factory reset and a reformat, the first of which will lose your schedules and the second your recordings. Not very encouraging, but it's not unusual for any hard-disk based device to need reformatting after 18 months use.

There are more options with later models, such as the HDR-Fox T2. It's easier to backup recordings and there are 3rd party addons that include hard disk maintenance options. The 9150T does not have the same flexibility.
  • How do I do a FACTORY RESET not too technical please!
    Thank you.

I was incorrect, a restore to the default settings will not wipe your existing recordings, only your schedules.

  • Thank you Macman I will have a look.

The first thing that you need to do is check what software version you have.

Select Menu, select System, select Status - Post the Software version displayed here.

A fix has been released to "resolve Individual Series Recordings disappearing from the schedule" so you may not have the latest software.
