Despite an assurance from royal mail last December that my ex husband could not get a third years redirection, he has managed to do so.I only found out because he returned some mail redirected to him by mistake...Ive demanded it be stopped immediatly but no response......this is causing me serious distress ........help

Im sure you had a thread on this before?
Did you not receive a letter from RM noting that the redirection had been extended on your address?
have you contacted your delivery office to check the redirection has been renewed and isnt past its expiry?
also to ensure if its valid, that they ensure your mail isnt redirected

I have asked him but hes too lazy to change his address

Then if I were you, I'd be trying to find a way to force him to. Especially of he has any credit accounts registered to your address. If he's on the electoral roll there, have him removed.
Might be worth finding out why RM are happy to aid him in misrepresenting his address and potentially committing fraudulent acts.

I would certainly take it up with the local delivery office. It does sound as if your postie is redirecting all mail instead of just the husbands name. I seen a few posties doing this when I worked there. Think most of them do it on autopilot. When I used to get that from customers, I would get the redirection card and high light that it was Mr Smith only to be redirected.

Do you ever get mail for your ex that isn't redirected? If there is no legitimate reason for your ex to continue using your address then the easiest way to deal with this is to open any misdirected mail and inform the companies. Some financial institutions place stops on accounts where mail is returned.

No I did not get any thing from the Royal mail to say that he was getting a third years redirection. Luckily I had kept the two previous letters of notification, copies of which are now with the post office complaints department, with a copy of a lettter dated 7th December 2012 they sent to me in response my request that he did not get a third years redirection, assuring me he could not get more than 2 years redirection.Igot the email address of the CEO and she responded yesterday saying she was putting one of her senior officers on the case. The senior officer has been in touch and will have an answer to my complaint within 7 days.....so hopefully this will be over soon.lll keep you posted.:j

but you havent contacted the delivery office directly?
infact have you still got the returned letters?
there should be a date on the lower left of the redirection label
this shows the expiry date of the redirection
