Child Car Seat in Portugal

Hi,

Going on holiday to Portugal with my wife and 6-month-old daughter, we have booked the flights and hotel directly and I'm now looking into transfers or car hire. My question is what would you recommend as far as a child seat, some transfer companies provide these, some don't and the same goes if we hire a car. Don't really want to have a car for a week and would prefer just a transfer from the airport to the resort and back.

Any ideas/experiences?

Thanks..

If your not fussed about driving abroad I would hire a car to pick up at the airport and drop off there.

I have used Economy Car Hire about 6 or 7 times at Faro airport in the Algarve. Think they charge about 16 Euros a week for a child seat. Just got back from the Algarve and paid £85 for a Punto for a week.

However I accept that driving abroad is not everyones cup of tea.

Whereabouts are you staying as transfers to certain resorts in the Algarve are very short dependant on where you are

My advise would be take your own from home.

I guess you will need it for getting to the airport in the uk.

You can check it in - free of charge when we have done it.

You know it has not been in a crash.

When we hired them on 2 occassions they were minging!

    Have a happy holiday Dusty

slightly off topic, its tragic, but why leave your kids unattended of all places abroad. You wouldnt leave the kids and pop down to La Tasca for a tapas for a tenner would you? i hope they find her.
