I'm interested in how you thought calling people stupid was an improvement?

You mentioned spending too long on the phone, inappropriate language and making derogatory comments.

What sort of inappropriate language are you talking about here?

The action plans I improved on were for something else sorry should have said that.

For example someone asked me how I was getting on with my MIL I said oh great she's doing my f'ing head in.

It was an investigatory meeting, I'm not sure what you think it might mean?

What sort of personal questions were you asked?

But I wasn't told it was it that should I have been.

They ask me if I was in a relationship with one of the married underwriters in another office

There are few formalities about an investigatory meeting.

I would ask yourself why they would ask a question like that - perhaps your unsuitable behaviour indicated that you are?

Sounds like you had a preliminary hearing of some sort, and you gave been given 'advice & guidance' at some stage. Without knowing the full facts, obviously, I doubt this in itself would lead to dismissal; perceived as a gross misconduct. You should always have a witness when having such meetings, whether that be a Union rep, an independent person, friend, or just someone you can rely on. Also, consider if there are any mitigating circumstances you can think of that have contributed to this; they may well be relevant. Above all else: behave!!

There is no legal right to be accompanied at an investigatory meeting. You do have the right to be accompanied once/ if it becomes a disciplinary.

For an investigatory meeting, there are not really any.

Have you read the disciplinary policy?

Investigatory meetings don't have to allow Union Reps or friends to be with the OP.
