I really would try not to take it personally. Perhaps she just doesn't know who you are, and therefore assumes you are spam, or someone who is going to advertise on her twitter page. The thing with stuff like this is it feels personal, when the chances are it isn't.
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
    I make no apology
    THIS IS ME!

When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.

In a similar vein to this, I have just discovered I've been blocked from following @Screenjabber on twitter. I was definitely following him before. Maybe he's one of those who don't like compers.:(

  • I never even realised people got notifications if someone retweeted their retweet. I just thought the original tweeter would get the notification.

  • Yes this happened to me. I had to RT a tweet and follow this woman on twitter to enter but I got the same message saying I was blocked from following by the user even though I didn't even know her.

I did tweet her to ask why I was blocked three times but she completely ignored me. Weird.

Some people block people who unfollow immediately after a competition ends, then try to refollow when there is another competition going.

sometimes if you retweet other peoples comp tweets rather than going to the site and retweeting from there then you invalidate the person whos retweet you have used , so maybe you have done that and the lady in question has taken offence toit .... as i would TBH and i have blocked people for this reason , just one reason someone might do that !

I don't think it does invalidate your entry, not in the most part anyway as a lot of twitter comps can be tweeted more than once unless it specifically says one entry only.

Jane Willis also says it probably won't invalidate your entry here http://www.compersgrapevine.co.uk/2012/01/somebodys-retweeted-my-competition.html

I think the whole being retweeted is just an annoyance really due to notifications. I tend to send a polite tweet saying they are retweeting me instead of the actual comp & can they go to the original tweet as they are sending my phone crazy with notifications. The ones that do get on my nerves tend to be the ones that have autobots set up to retweet anything with keywords like #win in, in that case they get blocked and reported for spam.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
