Hi, i'm just wondering how things work on a credit card with 0% for 3 months on purchases and 0% for 23 months on transfers.
i've transfered the balance off my old card (£2000) to this new card and i've set up a direct debit for £100 per month. but if i bought something for £300 on this card. do i get charged any interest after the 3 months on the remaining £200??
i'm presuming not as i've made £300 in payments?? what if the purchase was £500, do i get charged on the remaining £200 of the purchase?
Sorry for the stupid question.
cheers

The best thing is to NEVER spend on a card used for balance transfer....0

If two parts of a balance are both at 0% then the card company can allocate any payment towards either part (as long as it's in the terms and conditions). They don't have to allocate it towards the offer which ends soonest. mbna doesn't, for example.
So if you decide to mix different 0% offers, it's better to wait til 1 day AFTER the 0% on purchase ends before paying the remaining balance off.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
