I wouldn't go LPG for heating, my inlaws have it, one bottle every 2 weeks, as another poster has said, way too expensive.
I think it all depends on how well insulated you are and how hot you need you house to be. We have 4 x 47kg LPG cylinders as we cannot site a bulk tank. We live in a well insulated large detached property and use our LPG for heating hot water and cooking, when it is very cold we can get through a tank of gas in under three weeks but in the summer one tank last for ages, we spend on average £650 a year on gas which actually is not that bad I don't think.
The cost of LPG bottles also depends alot on where in the country you are, they are on average £55 a bottle here but there are some places where they are far more and others that pay less.Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.
